Mei Kawa

Mei Kawa stands for “Don't cry after me” in Mandarin. Despite the name, it is not an Asian brand, but a Hungarian one. The truth being said, the oriental effect of the playful pun based on the initials of the designer, Emese Kasza, is not a coincidence, as Asian lines have had a strong impact on her clothes, as have Northern minimalist style, architecture, modern urban style and last century work clothes design.

Mei Kawa represents small scale clothing for men and women with a high emphasis on variability, function and the use of natural elements. It is urban outfit made of carefully selected fabrics with unique sartorial methods and tricky needlework solutions. Unusual fabric-manipulations and shocking shaping associations combined with minimalism and simplicity, by Emese Kasza, designer.
