Dora Zsigmond founded her menswear brand in 2014. This young talent has studied at Mod’Art fashion school, her graduate work was inspired by traditional hungarian outfits.
Both the countryside and the urban lifestyle have enormous effect on her work and on her ideology. The fresh and progressive designs are inspired by traditional and cultural background of Hungary, whereas the outfits are perfectly suitable with the urban look.
Dora focuses on finding the (base) inspiration and on the deep processing of the topics. Dora draws inspiration from unique characters, everyday situations, topics concerning sociographic problems, series, films, exhibitions, books, songs. Life itself. The borders between reality and imagination and their limitless facilities. The individuality.
The essence of Zsigmond Dora menswear brand is based on the dual energies of tradition and modernity. This playful tensity gives the dynamics of each piece which are created from high quality materials with care. The fine materials, raw fabrics and traditional artisan techniques make the pieces feel like home, they give warmth to the clothes. While the design, the fashion and the cut gives a modern feeling to the pieces. You can find both the warmth of the country-side and the dynamism of the city in the mood of the collections.
The brand’s collections carry the values of ethical fashion: the clothes are made in the village Dora grew up, called Alap, with the help of the wonderful local seamstress, lady Juliska. Dora deals with the traditional handicraft techniques herself.
