1975 - Autumn / Winter 2015

Source: marieclaire.hu

Fashion brand '1975' is formed by Nikoletta Györe and Szimonetta Kupi - two young designers who have been working around fashion for already 10 years.

Main directions as naturalism and comfort are accompanied by modern lines, clean shapes and the hint of street fashion in their lookbook. Designing a trendy but still affordable collection far from the level of quantity production - sounds like a reasonable aim to follow.

Year by year, the brand's main focus is on cotton - as the fabric of uncountless opportunities. Casuality is also shown here by varieting the basic fabric by silk, wool and linen. These combinations highlight the beauty and individuality of cotton - keeping an eye on international trends at the same time.

Designers of '1975' identify themselves with monochronism and cubism, so lines are mainly straight, colours are low-key here. Reign of grey, white and black themes is complicated by some blue and green pixels of the strongly structured fabrics. Printed or impregnated cotton-neoprenes, recurring deerskin-jersey combinations and several types of wool are used here - to highlight a contrast between mat & bright. This is how casual style is seasoned in the collection; funcionality & stylish harmony are paralel in the vision of '1975'.

2015 was a busy year for this fashion team. They were invited to a presentation event around the London Fashion Week, so their actual collection could be introduced on spot, plus in several Hungarian, British magazines and online surfaces. As a result of their efforts at the field of cooperations labels of the brand are presented in already 5 designer showrooms of Budapest for now. They also became partners of an international webshop chain, so recently they have been working on introducing their names and latest collections in foreign cities like Wien or Tel-Aviv.
