Manier

Anikó Németh, the designer and owner of Manier launched her brand in 1992 and opened her first store in 1996 in Váci street. The store later moved to Dalszínház street, close to the Hungarian Opera.

The special atmosphere of the store inspires visitors to relive their childhood memories of fairy tales and little girls' games. It combines the magical world of “Alice in Wonderland” with the hidden secrets of grandma's wardrobe, the familiar atmosphere of dolls' houses and the passion for collecting odd little things and fulfils our desire for out of the ordinary materials, shapes and colours.

The name Manier was carefully chosen to expresses the 'how' of the creative process (from the French word "maniére" meaning method and  the Italian word “maniera” meaning handmade). Anikó Németh designed her own individual approach, where the traditions of French and English couture play an important role. Following in the footsteps of the great masters of Mannierism, she places great emphasis on creating individual, hand made objects with a personal “touch” using different colour application and shaping techniques.

Her clients are ageless, creative, playful, adventurous individuals who consciously communicate through their visual appearance and are not afraid to express their sexuality.
