ABODI

Born in Transylvania and raised in Budapest, part of a creative family, Dora Abodi showed an early interest in fashion and began to draw sketches in her grandfather’s studio at a young age. She graduated from French Mod’ International Art and Fashion Academy in 2009 and obtained a Master's in Fashion Design at Domus Academy Milan in 2013. She founded her eponymous brand DORA ABODI in 2009.

 

Her accolades include: FashionScout London SS2015 Catwalk Show (2014), Vogue Italy Dubai Mall project (2014) Selected to Future of Fashion program (2014), Domus Academy-Vogue Talents Special Awards (2013),Handbag Designer Awards in best overall design category with her signature bags (2012, 2013).

DORA ABODI was featured in Vogue.com, Vogue UK, Vogue China, Vogue Netherlands and many other magazines. Celebrities like Lady Gaga, Jena Malone, Bella Thorne, Dj Chelsey Leyland, Trish Summerville, Lindsay Lohan, Tyra Banks, Fergie, Taylor Swift, Diana Agron, Christina Milian and many others chose to wear her pieces.

 

Dora’s signature style can be defined as baroque futurism; fusing past and future, classical art and religious rituals with high technology: something ancient, instinctive and opulent mixed with rigid, robotic technology creates a new religion, a melting pot of very different cultures.The brand is eco-conscious in their view of fashion, they do not use real fur, exotic leather or any materials from uncontrolled origin.
